Ever find yourself mimicking your parents just for amusement? Our young guest from Manitoba certainly did, and her antics will leave you chuckling. She shares her comical exploits on her father's polar bear tour bus and the unexpected joy she brought to a family of tourists. What was supposed to be a simple wildlife tour quickly turned into a captivating one-woman show, when she was handed the microphone to continue her hilarious mimicking of her dad's speech.
But that's not all, as we explore her mixed feelings about life in Manitoba and her love for the mesmerizing Northern Lights, you'll be touched by her candidness. Her longing for the brilliance of the Aurora Borealis in Iceland creates a vivid picture that resonates with anyone who's ever been enchanted by nature's grand spectacle. Just as you think you know where her story is heading, a potential weekend job with sledding dogs for the Northern Lights tours spins her world around. Will she be bored no more? Tune in to find out.
Hey, it's 8.20 Sunday morning here, so it's the middle of the night for you. I'm hoping you get this before you head to school. Send me a quick video back, because I'm so bored. I'm stuck home today because my dad is tired of my attitude. What did I do?
Speaker 1:Well, yesterday I was on the polar bear tour bus with my dad my usual weekend fun, ugh. And I know his whole guide speech by heart. So I was just sitting in the back doing a lip sync with his every word. Some kid from Boston saw me and started laughing. So I kept doing it and soon his whole family was watching me instead of listening to my dad. How do you like Churchill so far? Well, you'll love it. After today's Prime Polar Bear viewing adventure, etc. Etc. Four people turned to the back to watch me lip sync his every word. Then I held my phone up like a microphone. I messed with my hat the way he does, and well, I didn't notice. When he first stopped talking, my lips were still moving for a few more words, he marched back to me and he handed me the microphone. So, of course, I continued the speech Word for word. His eyes were huge, everyone loved it and clapped loudly when I finished with any questions. Well, we ride along. He took the microphone and answered their questions, but I could tell I was in trouble.
Speaker 1:I really am old enough to stay home alone on the weekends. Maybe he'll let me know. You know I like polar bears, right, and I love living in Manitoba, but I'd rather be with you in Iceland, where the Northern Lights are even more brilliant. Why can't my family be the Northern Lights tour people? No, I have to spend every weekend with a bunch of tourists crying when they see their first real polar bear. I've seen a million tourists and polar bears. It gets old, but the Aurora Borealis lights never do. Video me back before school, if you can. I'm so bored. Wait, I can hear that mom came home and she's talking with someone. Wait, they're talking about me. What they're talking about? A weekend job for me Helping with the sledding dogs. The sledding dogs go on the Northern Lights tours. All right, gotta go, ttyl, not bored anymore.
